Students from Aube Nouvelle University visit the Court of Justice

On the morning of Thursday, July 6, 2023, the courtroom of the UEMOA Court of Justice hosted an information session for students from the Economics and Management department of the Aube Nouvelle University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), who were visiting the community jurisdiction. The session, led by Madam Joséphine EBAH-TOURE, Acting President, with Advocate General Mr. Kalifa BAGUE and Judge Gayakoye SABI ABDOURAHAMANE by her side, provided the students, accompanied by some of their teachers, with presentations on the institutional framework of UEMOA, as well as the mission, operations, competencies, and procedural law of the UEMOA Court of Justice.

During the nearly three-hour-long exchange, the visitors asked many questions, which the members answered thoroughly and appropriately.

The enthusiasm and overall satisfaction observed at the end of the discussion, along with the supervisors’ desire to cooperate with the Court of Justice in order to multiply such initiatives, reflect a real thirst for knowledge about UEMOA and its actions within the educational institutions.

The meeting concluded with a guided tour of the Documentation section.
