From September 20 to 22, 2023, President Mahawa Sémou DIOUF led a delegation of Court members for a visit and working session at the headquarters of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania.
On Monday, September 20, 2022, the President of the Court of Justice was received in audience by the Honorable Judge Imani D. ABOUD, President of the host High Court. This audience was followed by a working session between the members of the Court delegation and those of the host jurisdiction.
This mission is part of strengthening the existing partnership between the two international courts. Beyond the exchange of experiences in their areas of competence, the two Courts will discuss the challenges they face in terms of the digitization of procedures, the enforcement of decisions, knowledge sharing, and more.
It is planned to formalize the partnership framework through the signing of an agreement.
In addition, visits to other international organizations based in Arusha are included in the delegation’s agenda.
