On Friday, February 25, 2022, a delegation from the UEMOA Court of Justice, led by its President, visited the headquarters of the Constitutional Council of Burkina Faso to express their condolences following the death of the President of the institution.
On February 19, 2022, the Constitutional Council of Burkina Faso lost its President, Kassoum Kambou. To pay tribute to the late President, the President of the UEMOA Court of Justice, accompanied by members of the Court, visited the headquarters of the High Court. On this occasion, Mr. Daniel TESSOUGUE signed the condolence book opened for this purpose.
An experienced magistrate, Mr. KAMBOU had a distinguished career dedicated to justice and the rule of law. With his passing, UEMOA community law also loses one of its staunchest defenders. Mr. KAMBOU had a profound understanding of the role of national courts in the implementation of community law and justice.
