The hearing took place on June 19, 2025, at the Court of Justice’s headquarter in Ouagadougou, in the presence of the President of the Court, Mahawa Sémou DIOUF, the First Advocate General, Lodonou Kuami GAMELI, the other members (Joséphine Suzanne EBAH-TOURE, Kalifa BAGUE, Abdourahmane GAYAKOYE SABI, Ladislau Clemente Fernando EMBASSA, Jules Chabi MOUKA), and the auditor, Hamidou YAMEOGO.
This hearing follows the one granted to the Court of Justice on April 16, 2025, by the highest administrative court of Burkina Faso. Discussions between the delegation led by Mr. Edilbert SOME (First President of the Council of State) and the WAEMU Court of Justice focused on the prospects for cooperation between the Union’s judicial review body and the Council of State of Burkina Faso, particularly in the area of disseminating WAEMU law.
The First President of the Council of State was accompanied by Ms. Wendyam KABORE, Government Commissioner, Mr. Alidou OUATTARA, President of the Litigation Chamber, and Mr. Sakma Christophe SIMPORE, Chief Registrar.
