Training in UEMOA Community Law for legal professionals in Guinea Bissau

In collaboration with experts from the Commission, the Court of Justice is organizing a training seminar in Bissau for judges, lawyers, and other public administration officials from Guinea-Bissau on UEMOA community law.

The opening ceremony was chaired on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, by Madam Teresa A. SILVA, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Guinea-Bissau, in the presence of Mr. Daniel Amagoin TESSOUGUE, President of the UEMOA Court of Justice, the Representative of the President of the Supreme Court of Guinea-Bissau, and Mr. Bertin COMLANVI, Resident Representative of the UEMOA Commission in Guinea-Bissau.

During the seminar, several topics will be discussed, including the legal and institutional framework of UEMOA, the competencies of the Court of Justice, and the procedures before it. The participants will also be trained in UEMOA law on the free movement of people and competition law.

The seminar will conclude on Friday, April 8, 2022.
