The Registry of the UEMOA Court of Justice

Under the authority of the President, the Registry plays a major role in the operation of the WAEMU Court of Justice. As such, it has a dual judicial and administrative role.

Judicial Role
The Registry assists the President in the administration of the Court. In this capacity, the President provides the Registrar with the staff and material resources necessary for the normal functioning of the Court. In particular, the Registry draws up and implements the budget, manages the Court’s staff and assets and organises its practical activities.

Administrative role
The Registry assists the President of the Court in the administration of the Court. In this capacity, the President of the Court provides the Registrar with the staff and material resources necessary for the normal running of the Court. In particular, the Registry draws up and implements the budget, manages the Court’s staff and property and organises the Court’s practical activities.
