The Court of Justice trains Benin’s judges and lawyers in Community law

The Court of Justice is training judges and lawyers from Benin on UEMOA community law at the AZALAÏ DE LA PLAGE Hotel in Cotonou.

The opening ceremony was chaired on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, by Mr. Yvon DETCHENOU, Minister of Justice and Legislation of Benin, in the presence of Mr. Jules Chabi MOUKA, representing the President of the UEMOA Court of Justice, and Mrs. Joséphine Suzanne EBAH-TOURE, Judge at the Court.

During the sessions, several topics will be covered. These will focus on the legal and institutional framework of UEMOA, the competencies and procedures of the UEMOA Court of Justice, and the mechanism of the preliminary ruling in UEMOA community law.

The seminar will conclude on Friday, November 24, 2023.
