After training judges and lawyers in Abidjan, the delegation of the UEMOA Court of Justice raised awareness among judicial trainees and court clerks at the National Judicial Training Institute (INFJ) on UEMOA community law on Friday, December 8, 2023, in Yamoussoukro, Republic of Ivory Coast.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Ebry Marie Léonard, Director General of the INFJ, in the presence of Mrs. Joséphine Suzanne EBAH-TOURE, representing the President of the UEMOA Court of Justice, Mr. Kalifa BAGUE, Advocate General, and Mr. Jules Chabi MOUKA, Judge at the Court.
The topics addressed during this session included the legal and institutional framework of UEMOA, the competencies and procedures of the UEMOA Court of Justice, and the mechanism of the preliminary ruling in UEMOA community law.
The INFJ is a national public institution responsible for training judicial staff. It was established by Decree No. 2005-40 of February 3, 2005.
